Kristin Landen Davis Bio

Kristin Landen is an Emmy Award-nominated American actor and Kristin Davis was born in Colorado in the city of Boulder. She is best known for her role as Charlotte York Goldenblatt on HBO's Sex and the City. Boulder, Colorado was where Davis was born and where she was educated. Her parents divorced as when she was a young girl and she became the sole child. She was adopted by her stepfather, University of South Carolina psychologist Keith Davis, after he got married to her mother, Dorothy an academic data analyst in the year 1968. In her first marriage, she was blessed with three step-sisters. The family moved to Columbia, South Carolina in her early childhood. Her father, who was adopted, was the provost at Columbia and was a professor at the University of South Carolina. Davis wanted to be an actress from the age of 10, when she was cast in a community theatre production called Snow White and the Seven... She, along with her ex-boyfriend Alec Baldwin, guest-starred on Will & Grace (1998) as well as Friends (1994), though not in the same episodes. Was a guest at Sarah Jessica Parker's 40th birthday party. Her first audition for film was for the role as Sarah Tobias in The Accused (1988). Jonathan Kaplan turned her down and Jodie Foster was offered the part. She has two adopted children: daughter Gemma Rose Davis (adopted in 2011) and son Wilson Davis (adopted in 2018). A spokesperson for the charity Oxfam. As part of her Oxfam Ambassador commitment, she visited the Dadaab refugee camps in Kenya in July of 2011. Kristin is the only actor who has not been married. Her character Charlotte (1998) in the TV show "Sex and the City") was the first actress to get married.
