Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the younger sister of
media producer, mogul Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is
her older sibling. Five half-siblings are born through other relationships with
her father. Her father is African American and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish
(a descendant of refugees from Russia and Latvia). Rashida was raised Reform
Judaism. She was raised in Bel Air Los Angeles, California. Jones has made
statements about her dual race parents, "It was the 1970s and it's not
even that acceptable for them to be together." Jones began her
professional acting debut on The Last Don, a mini-series in 1997 that was based
on a novel by Mario Puzo. Rashida has also graduated from Harvard University in
1997. In 1997, she attended the Buckley School, Sherman Oaks, California. Voted
the Most Likely Sufferer. The name she uses is Arabic (O+-O'UO-O(c)) to mean
"Major adult, grown-up or wise". On People Magazine's "50 most
beautiful people" list. (USA[2002] Half-sister of Quincy Jones III and

Was previously married to Mark Ronson (music producer), 25 February 2003. Niece
of Robert Lipton. She has been romantically associated with Josh Hartnett,
Charlie Hunnam, and John Krasinski. A vocalist was included in the tribute song
to Tupac Shakur who was married to her sister Kidada Jones. Rashida as well as
Kidada's brother Quincy Jones III produced the song, and their father, Quincy
Jones, made an appearance reciting the lines of the song by Tupac Shakur
"Starry Night" in the intro. The title of the song was inspired by
the poem. Rashida's dad is African-American but also has smaller quantities of
English, Scottish, and Welsh as well as Welsh ancestry (some of his African family
members were descendants of the Tikar people of Cameroon). Her mother, Rashida,
is Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent). Her
maternal grandparents come from South Carolina and Mississippi. Her maternal
grandfather was born to New Yorkers while her maternal grandmother was of
Eastern European Jewish heritage. In the year 2009, she had played three
different characters as "Karen", on the sitcoms of the past: Freaks
and Geeks (1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
