Bonnie Wright

 Bonnie Francesca Wright was born 17 February 1991. She is a model, actress and director from England. She is best known for her role as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series.Born in London, Wright made her professional acting debut in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) in which she played the role for 10 years, until the last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011). After the series, Wright appeared in a series of independent films which included Before I Sleep (2013), The Sea (2013) as well as After the Dark (2014); the films were met with mixed reviews. She made her stage debut as the main character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's diploma in filmmaking. The following year, she founded her own production company, BonBonLumiere, and began to produce short films. Her first project as a director was the coming-of-age drama Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012) with David Thewlis, which was released at the Cannes Film Festival to critical praise. She also directed Know Thyself (2016), with Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both were based on emotion and landscape. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls, which was premiering at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, featured three episodes. Medusa's Ankles (2018) featuring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs was released by Wright. It is based upon A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She has also directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright is an ambassador for Greenpeace and Lumos and has been acknowledged for her environmental activism.
