Markie Post

Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and began her career in film and TV shows, such as Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and continued to make such shows as Double Dare (1976) and appeared on such programs on television like 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). She was perhaps best known for her role as "Christine Sullivan" in the show, an actress and Night Court star (1984). From 1984 until 1992 she appeared in 156 shows. She was the daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet, and noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on March 30 the 30th of March, 1990) were born in her second marriage to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. Attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was a cheerleader. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was part of the trick roping team in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were returned home to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post passed away on 7 August 2021, three months before what would have been her 71st birthday on November 4. She died 27 days before fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed at the age of 11 on July 11, 2021. While the two shows were not connected, Night Court (1984) concluded with Christine Sullivan's character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) was the first show to introduce Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and later she moved to a smaller community after her time in Washington DC.
